Flow Measurements and Bathymetry Survey at Ayede Dam, Ekiti State.

The Head of Hydrology Department and the senior Scientific Officer went to Ayede by the directive of the Managing Director of BORBDA- Engr. Saliu O. Ahmed. The purpose of the visit was to carry out stream flow measurement and bathymetry survey of the Ayede Dam with the prime purpose of establishing the current reservoir capacity and recharge rate of the Ayede Dam in Ekiti State. OUT GROWER FARMERS’ VISIT TO AYEDE IRRIGATION PROJECT 14/09/2022

The Area Office Manager Ekiti, Mr Rufus O. Fagbuyiro on 14th September 2022, mobilized forty participants from Ekiti state. The project manager and a junior agronomist of FMS Farms, Mr Isaac Familoni and Miss Adeze took all participants on guided tour on the farms. Lush flourishing varieties of crops such as red cabbage, kale vegetables, local & mikable onions, ordinary cabbage, special pepper and tomatoes were seen. Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority sets up five farms to support agriculture

The Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority (BORBDA) has set up integrated farms in five locations in Edo State in line with the agriculture support initiative of the President Muhammadu Buhari government. The farm settlements, or Songhai model, are located at Obayantor, Benin City, Auchi, Okpe in Akoko Edo Local Government Area, and Uneme Nekhua, also in Akoko Edo Local Government Area.
