The Benin Owena River Basin Development Authority is headed by a Managing Director who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer with the responsibilities of running the agency for a period of four years as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The MD, Engr. Saliu O. Ahmed was appointed by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari in January, 2017 with the responsibility to lead the agency according to the programs and policies of the Federal Government through its parent ministry, the Ministry of Water Resources. To support Engr. Ahmed, the President also appointed other executive members comprising of four Executive Directors with responsibilities to oversea the sub-departments of Agric Services, Engr. Charles Ovwigho; Engineering, Engr. (Mrs) Modupe Olalemi; Finance and Admin, Akinya Foloronsho Samson; as well as Budget and Planning, Mr. Osikela Omo-Ikirodah.
Part of the management of Benin Owena River Basin Development Authority are the members of Board, chaired by a Chairman, Alh. Ali Olanusi and supported by other members; Otunba Tunde Onakayo, Romanus Egbuladike, Bashir Yusuf Ebrahim, Nelson Alakpa and Alh. Waheed Adesina.
